Our Mission
We are three young women trying to empower our female peers by introducing them to strong women who made Seattle the progressive and forward thinking metropolis it is today. Through this event the greater Seattle area will hear from many women talking about their inspirations and the topics that motivate them to make change, ultimately inspiring the next generation of young women to pave their own way to find their own meaningful path in life.

What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxMercerIslandWomen, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxMercerIslandWomen event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
